Edited by John Mill. A description of his involvement is in NUC. The text of this edition is from the Estienne edition of 1550 with very few variations. Illustrated head-pieces; initials. Prefixed is a dedicatory epistle to Queen Anne. Text with verse-numbers in text, and apparatus at the foot of the page. The apparatus was collated by Curcellaeus, Walton, Fell and by the editor himself. The Prolegomena are divided into three parts dealing with (1) the canon of the New Testament, (2) the history of the text, including the patristic citations and early editions, and (3) the plan of this edition. Title vignette: Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford.
