Description:
VLF 81 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 14th c., its leaves measuring 298 x 200 mm. It is constructed of 17 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 130 leaves (260 pages). Catchwords are still visible. Fol. 127 is partly cut off. A 17th-c. hand added foliation in Arabic numerals up to f. 69. Written space covers 205/230 x 140 mm (45-56 lines ruled in dark ink). The text was written by 3 scribes in Littera cursiva libraria. Initials are rubricated. There are no inscriptions. Initials of lemmata within the text are highlighted in golden (up to f. 172v). The codex has an English binding from the end of the 15th c.
